Henderson Chambers has an experienced personal injury and clinical negligence team.  We are recognised as a leading set for personal injury claims by the Legal 500, and personal injury work forms the backbone of the practice of many members of Chambers.  We have extensive expertise in catastrophic disaster claims, industrial disease claims, accidents at work, fatal accidents, sporting injuries and issues concerning limitation (including recently the leading House of Lords authority on personal injury limitation periods; and the Nuclear Test Veterans claims).  We have particular experience in advising insurance companies in respect of litigation, including the risk exposure of group action claims, and we also specialise in the defence of fraudulent claims.

In the field of clinical negligence, we have expertise in a wide variety of claims for claimants and defendants, including obstetric, gynaecological, anaesthetic, orthopaedic, cardiovascular, ENT, ophthalmic, urological, general surgical, general medical and dental.  Our members are consistently involved in the full range of clinical negligence and healthcare law – including GMC proceedings; inquests; and other major medical group and multi-party actions.  Several members of Chambers also act as Legal Assessors to professional medical bodies - for the General Medical Council; for the Nursing and Midwifery Council; and for the General Chiropractic Council.
